Confusion about Demisexual Demiromantic?

Personally I don't really understand Demi...
In terms of Demisexual (Not feeling sexual attraction until a bond has been formed), I'm really confused on how this is different from what a lot of people feel and therefore why it needs a separate label?
I know that personally I just have a different asthetic of what I like, so when people are watching TV and see a ripped celebrity and talk about how hot they are, I personally just kinda think they look OK but am not really into
